Misguidedness?

I think it's somewhat telling that these guys openly admit that they get more serious about this backwoods militia stuff when a Democrat is in office. Why? I find it amusing, since they are worried about the Constitution (one said "it's going away"), yet if asked I'd bet they can't cite a single (factual) instance where the current administration has negatively affected any of our Constitutional rights. Of course, they will probably cite many things found in (debunked) circular emails, but actual facts...nada.

But they will (ignorantly) trot around feeling like they are securing their rights. Where were they when the Bush Administration actually did trample on our Constitutional rights (i.e., were they out there preparing for the passage of the USA PATRIOT Act)? No.

And why? Because in these guy's mode of thinking, it's OK to violate your rights except for Republican/conservative causes (like spying on you without a warrant), but requiring you to have health insurance or levying taxes is an infringement of your rights.

Ha ha...I have repeatedly questioned my neo-con friends about their double standard of 'the government should stay out of our lives' and 'we should live by the constitution'...right, only when it benefits them. But talk about freedom of religion, marriage equality, civil rights, etc...

Every time I debunk something they say and provide FACTS, I get slammed as providing liberal propaganda...there is no amount of facts that will convince these people otherwise...and if someone they admire came forth and said 'yes this is true, or no this isn't true' they would just disown them saying they are a 'liberal-comi' in-disguise...

It just kills me when people start going on about our Constitution...Obama taught Constitutional Law for 12 years! I think he knows more about our Constitution then many...and he knows he'd get exposed if he did anything against it, and wouldn't have an excuse in light of what he taught...come on people!
