Rep. Wilson shouts, 'You lie' to Obama during speech

A Republican House member shouted, "You lie" during President Obama's health care speech to Congress on Wednesday, and members of both parties condemned the heckling.

The outburst came when Obama denied that proposed health care legislation would provide free health coverage for illegal immigrants. Immediately, [Rep. Joe Wilson, R-SC)] Wilson shouted, "You lie!"

Nice. Congressmen, supposed adults...acting like hecklers. No...BEING a heckler. And being completely wrong as well. The bill and the President's plan specifically ban funding health care for illegal immigrants.

H.R. 3200 includes a provision that specifically says that there will be no federal funds spent to cover illegal immigrants:

H.R. 3200: Sec 246 — NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS

Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States.

The preceding section reiterates this, stating that “the term ‘affordable credit eligible individual’ means … an individual who is lawfully present in a State in the United States.” In other words, no federal subsidies for you if you’re in the country illegally. Besides, illegal immigrants aren’t eligible for federal health programs under current law.

That's what happens when you open your mouth without actually READING what you are ranting about. You look like an idiot. I wonder how much Rush Limbaugh the Congressman from South Carolina listens to?

I also notice that the GOP caucus did not applaud when the President clearly debunked ridiculous claims like "death panels". These GOP kooks actually believe the "death panel" claims, it appears.
