Soldier's Mother Takes Protest to Bloggers

Cindy Sheehan, the mother of a soldier killed in Iraq who has been camped outside President Bush's ranch near Crawford, Tex., took her antiwar protest to the Internet yesterday, joining a conference call with bloggers around the country, along with a stray congresswoman.

Well, I'm not a "blogger", I'm an online magazine publisher, but I'll carry your cause anyway :)

And to those on the right who argue against Bush meeting with her, I have but one question...why should he not meet with her? As the President he is a servant of all the people of the United States, not just those who agree with him (like, say, Jerry Falwell, Fox "News", or the big oil companies). He'd do wonders for his image with the left if he got off his high horse and simply went to his fellow American and constituent Cindy Sheehan and listened to what she had to say. And answered a few questions.

Some say "he doesn't owe her anything"...I disagree. And I'd say the same thing if it were a Republican protester and a Democrat President. True principle knows no political affiliation...you either have principles or you don't.

That says it all right there.
